If your SATA controller on your motherboard is made by Intel or VIA, then the answer is yes. If not, go for the IDE drive.

I use Intel's SATA controller, but MAC detect my HDD ONLY when I disable the Raid function! I've searched for along time but still now I dont know how to fix it :D ?

Thanks

I'm using a VIA Chipset on my MSI 6702 Mainboard and the SATA does not work.

During the installation the drive is not shown. Afterwards he showed my NTFS drives from my Windows harddisk, but after a reboot they have disappeared and I can't find them. Can sombody help me?

PS: I installed OSx86 on a seperate IDE drive and used the JAS patched DVD 10.4.6
