uEih
I'm completely new to this so if more info is needed please tell me. I'm having issues being able to boot from the HD. I already ran ##### with DSDT Free, tried booting from the HD but got a boot0 error. I then unmounted the drive and typed in the command "dd if=..." and it was successful but after I did that what happened when it tried booting up is I'd get a bunch of random characters on the screen instead of the boot0 error. How do I get this fixed? Gigabyte Z68-ud2h-B3 i3-2100 G.Skill Ripjaw 4x2 GB RAM Sapphire R9 270 GPU 1 TB HD I don't know if this helps but I ran -v booting up from the USB and I got a"No HPETs available..CPU(s) configured incorrectly" on the first line. The first picture below is when I'm booting up through the HD. After running -v before booting from the USB I'd get the second image. Monitor is currently connected through an HDMI wire.I do have my HPET enabled and set to 64 bit in my BIOS.I can only boot through safe mode (-x) everything else seems to cause it to hang. EDIT: Realized after posting that a certain site isn't really supported here. If there's a way to get this up and running correctly please any help is appreciated. uEih
The only issue I'm having right now is getting all the necessary items in the drive. From what I understand I gotta run the Hackinstaller file and pick option 1 for Install OS X and then option 1 again for the Boot Disk. However when I do that it'll say that "No OS X Install DVD/ISO/ESD has been detected" but I have the Install OS X Mavericks.app on the desktop and application folder. Am I suppose to extract a certain file from that .app file? uEih
So I got it to install from the USB I made and I went into terminal before booting but unsure if I did those steps correctly, I just went with the default settings and chose all the bolded options. Some of the DSDT failed. I must be doing something wrong in this steps because I'm not getting the OS to boot from HD, when I try to boot from HD it'll fail and say "error" under boot0. I boot into safe mode fine with "-x" through USB. Below is what I get booting with "-v" Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/300472-issues-after-using-installing-from-usb-cant-boot-from-hd/#findComment-2054862 Share on other sites

uEih
I'm not sure how to change it but I went through the USB and went to the install for Chameleon under there I went to System Info and it shows Model Name: Mac Pro and Model Identifier MacPro3.1 but on the boot up screenshot I have it shows 5.1. I don't know how to select 3.1 or 5.1, I was coming from the other site which has a program that allows you to select, I'm not seeing any option for that going through hack installer. I know what I'm doing up until going through the steps after entering hackinstaller into terminal. When I'm in there I just pick the defaulted options. uEih
Just getting a black screen now, it boots up without the USB how it should. I'm trying the boot flags but the only two I've tried is GraphicsEnabler and PCIRootUID=0. I can go into safe mode with -x fine and -v goes by all the lines, loads the apple logo, and ends up in the black screen also.
