Hey RehabMan :D

M back again...

So you helped me fix the Brightness issue, HDMI, disabling Nvidia, found its Synaptics over ALPS.....

What remains is : SLEEP (I tried darkwake=0/1/10 already, didn't work; and I have all the prerequisites for SLEEP, i.e proper powermanagement, based on your article on tmx)

can you help me fix this one?? :frantics:

Thnx

What is the exact issue with sleep?

I think my laptop goes to sleep, but can't wake up.

When I try making it wake up I get the login screen with an inactive password field.

As soon I click on that, I get the busy cursor, and it restarts.

I'll assume you have power management implemented correctly. But you should check for yourself...

You probably need DSDT patches. Likely candidates from here: https://github.com/RehabMan/Laptop-DSDT-Patch

"Fix _WAK Arg0 v2"

"HPET Fix"

"SMBUS Fix"

"IRQ Fix"

"RTC Fix"

"OS Check Fix"

"Fix Mutex with non-zero SyncLevel"

"Fix PNOT/PPNT"

"Add IMEI"

Also, if it is instant wake...

For instant wake: https://github.com/RehabMan/Laptop-DSDT-Patch

Apply: "7-series/8-series USB"

Also, install GenericUSBXCHI.kext, and use kernel flag -gux_defer_usb2

I think I have all of them already...should I send you DSDTs/SSDTs/ioreg/config.plist/message.log or anything else??

I can see most everything via ioreg. But all of the above is not a bad idea. Use IORegistryExplorer v2.1
