superiska123 Posted June 11, 2014 Share Posted June 11, 2014 Okay, so I tried installing Lion on Lenovo S10-2 multiple times using this guide:http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/258491-guide-lion-dp1-on-ideapad-s10e/, but I always get stuck on step seven, it gives me an error each time. Could somebody please please please help me? I have followed the guide REALLY carefully. Do you get the error at the "cp" command, the first "chmod" or the second "chmod" command? superiska123 Posted July 8, 2014 Author Share Posted July 8, 2014 So, I install everything normally on the laptop, but then it tells me to use cp to copy the kexts, and then I get stuck. It can't copy fakesmc.kext it can't find it, but I did everything else really carefully and flawlessly. Kikill3r Posted July 9, 2014 Share Posted July 9, 2014 Hmm... Maybe there isn't any FakeSMC kext in /System/Library/Extensions of the installer. Boot the other Mac or Hackintosh on which you prepared the installer and check if there is a FakeSMC kext in /System/Library/Extensions of the installer. If there isn't, download one for Lion and place it in /System/Library/Extensions of the installer. Then try again.
