Rammjet
What are the details of your system? This error is during boot up of the DVD or after you have installed OSX onto your computer?
ferox
the error is during boot up of the dvd before installation i have a sempron 2600 cpu with no sse2 instruction....is it the possible cause of my problem?
Rammjet
Sorry, you must have SSE2 or SSE3 to use OSX.
Kelvin_ng
I have the same problem too. My CPU support either SSE2 or SSE3. When i try to install it from CD, the same error come out. Then i try to install from VM, successfully installed. But when i boot up again with Mac OS X, the error come out again. My computer system: AMD 3500+ 64bit 1024 MB DDR2 RAM 80GB SATA HDD MSI 7252 motherboard with nvidia c51 I use Jas 10.4.7 of Mac OS X to install. Rammjet
Does your error include the "commpage no match on last routine" or does it just say: panic(cpu 0 caller 0X00919CFFC): (-something-else-here-) debugger called:<panic>
Kelvin_ng
panic(cpu 0 caller 0X00919CFFC): copy_window_init: cpu > num_cpus debugger called:<panic>
Rammjet
See, you don't have the "same" problem. When booting from the DVD, when it asks you to hit Enter or press F8, press F8. At the prompt, type: cpus=
Kelvin_ng
OK, i tried cpus=1 also. But now the message stop at line: using 2293 buffer headers and 2293 cluster IO buffer headers
Rammjet
I believe your motherboard has a nForce4 SATA controller. OSX doesn't have drivers for the nForce4 SATA controller. So, when you try to boot in OSX, it can't access the drive to read the boot data. VMWare is a simulated computer running in Windows. It uses the Windows drivers to do its thing. Install a PATA drive and install OSX to that. A 20 GB PATA drive should be able to be obtained for next to nothing.
