I am wanting to move up to Maverick from Mountain Lion on my Hackintosh, but I am not sure how to proceed. My current install is glitchy (can't get screen resolution to match my monitor {1920x1080} and I always need to manually enter GE=NO to get a successful boot). To top things off, I don't know if I set-up my Fusion drive properly and don't know if there is a way to test Fusion to make sure it is working.

It is worth noting that I started this Hacintosh last year, and then put it aside since it was glitchy. So there is nothing that I need to worry about saving from the HDD fusion if I need to "unfuse" or delete my Fusion set-up.

My hardware is as follows (also in my signature below):

GA-Z77X-UD5H; INTEL I7-3770K; GEFORCE 660TI; FUSION DRIVE (INTEL 335 SERIES 240GB SSD + 1T SEAGATE); PATRIOT VIPER 1600MHZ 16GB (2X8);

My questions are:
1) How can I test my Fusion set-up to know that it is working properly?
2) Do I need to, or should I, delete my current ML install before doing the Maverick install?

3) Do I need a custom DSDT for my mobo? (I was under the impression that this mobo didn't need one...please correct me if I'm wrong)

4) What installer seems to work best? (there seems to be more branches of installers available than what I remember last year)

I started following the guide by iFire and ios9 ( http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/296469-noobs-guide-how-to-install-os-x-mavericks-from-scratch-in-progress) but am not sure about instaling over ML...or wipe the Fusion HDD clean first.

Cheer,

Stew
