First, let me say that I've searched and searched on this, and the best thing I was able to get was using a version of VLC, (VLC_20050924_x86_bin) to play DVDs - however the playback is choppy, better than what I've seen on other versions of VLC, and I couldn't get MPlayer to even start playing. Even the one that is optimized for SSE2 machines.

I'm just curious if I might be skipping over something here; or if any new information is out there before I feel this is the best possible.

More information about the computer:

Dell Inspiron 600m

~Intel Pentium M @ 1.5Ghz

~ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 (which I think from what I've heard is impossible to get CI or QE to get supported, unfortunately.)

Screenshot of my computer's configuation:

~Using Callisto b003 (Beta 3)'s driver with the patched device id: 4c66. Which gives me full resolution but obviously no QE or CI.

Honestly, QE and CI hasn't really been that big of an issue with me; as all the programs I really need to run seem to do just fine; speed is even pretty good.

Maybe there's just some new information that I'm not aware of.

I installed OSx86 about 2-3 months ago running perfectly on my desktop; and uninstalled it because I got sick of messing with that partitions and stuff. Now is the first real time I've tried to get it running on my Laptop..... so far so good. Amazes me how Windows can get something as simple as a DVD to run flawlessly; but with OSX -- it's gotta have "special" features QE/CI.

Thanks for the help; this community is absolutely a life saver on research and information. A complete wealth of information I've recieved from this place. Keep up the great work guys!
