joad
Success with Abit GB-80/Celeron D Hi, I have a successfully installed osx native bye only replaying the oah750d. There was two things that didn’t work, 1st the AC97 soundcard I installed the kext from Darwin then the sound was ok, 2st the onboard nic was not working so I had to put in a RTL8139. I have done some benchmarking with Photoshop cs2. My PC with 1GB ram and a Celeron 2.54 running at 4.0GHz was 2.5 times faster in Windows XP then in OSX but only 20% slower then a PowerMac G5 1.8 Ghz. And I believe that my pc is cheaper then a used PowerMac G5 and faster then a new Mac mini. I also tried my Thinkpad T41 without SSE3 but it runs slow and without the wifi it’s no fun. Thanks to all for your work. /J Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/2975-success-with-abit-gb-80celeron-d/ Share on other sites
felixding
hi, dude, does this mobo work fine for EVERYTHING? i mean, soundcard line-in/out( i need not only the sound, but also the microphone ), nic, QE/CI/OGL etc? and you haven't patched the oah750? i'm deciding which cpu&mobo should i buy right now, IG-80 so i can overclock easier or Asrock so i can save some money Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/2975-success-with-abit-gb-80celeron-d/#findComment-19259 Share on other sites
