matt77303 Posted April 13, 2014 Share Posted April 13, 2014 Hi guys Seem to having a lot of trouble hearing notification sounds on mavericks. If i goto system preferences, sound, and doublr click on the sound effects for example bottle. It sounds fine, loud enough. But when i get a message via imessage for i send to trash i can bearly hear the sound. Am i missing another volume slider somewhere? This can happen if you use a system other than MacPro. iMac etc sleep the audio hardware when idle which leads to sounds getting cut-off when it wakes. With short sounds like system notifications you end up losing maybe half of the sound which is why it sounds so low. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
