Shane W
AMD 64 3200+ socket 754 1GB RAM GIGABYTE - GA-7VT600-L WD IDE 120GB HD 7200rpm Radeon 9200 I'm following dilnalomo's guide. I can boot into OSX installer and select my drive, etc. Once the installation actually starts, it will write some files then fail asking me to reinstall again. I've tested with DVD-R and +R. Any suggestions? *edit* Oops. Using Jas 10.4.07 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/29714-install-failing-after-writing-some-files/ Share on other sites

Try burning at the slowest speed possible. Or your iso image is corrupt. Rammjet
Perhaps you can read the install.log to see if there are any errors right before it quits. Boot your install DVD and select Terminal in the Utilities menu. Type: more /private/var/log/install.log Hit the Space bar to page forward Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/29714-install-failing-after-writing-some-files/#findComment-204994 Share on other sites
