Lotustar
I could REALLY use some help on this. I have installed Mountain Lion via usb installer and it went great. However, booting from my sata drive post install I get the dreaded still waiting on root device. I know this is a very common problem but I cannot seem to find a fix for this and I have searched. My mobo has no AHCI option. I added ApplenforceATA to installer just to make it see my drive to install. Also chose non-ahci sata option from customize (iAtkos ML) during install. Still no go. There has to be a way to make this boot from my drive. Snow Leopard had no problem with my drive. Here is last line before root device error on boot: USBMSC Indentifier (non unique) Still waiting on root device Now that was with my usb installer still plugged into usb port. So I removed it and rebooted and got this: com.apple.AppleFSCompressionTypeZlib load successful Still waiting on root device PLEASE if anyone knows why I can't boot post install it would be a great help. Thanks sooooo much in advance. Here are my specs: Asus P5N-E SLI 650i (nforce chipset) Core 2 duo 2.4 3G RAM Ati Radeon HD 2400 XT 256mb Pci-e Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/297133-non-ahci-sata-nforce-chipset-help/ Share on other sites
