Tackling my first hackintosh here,

I purchased and put together a hackintosh spec'd build (http://pcpartpicker.com/user/ts1ngh/saved/3k6a) and I want to go about installing Mavericks on it. Right now there are two HDDs in it, one with 8.1 and an empty one that I want to use for OS X. I do want to dual boot them.

Relevant Hardware specs are the following:
Core i7 4670k
GA-Z87M-D3H (LGA1150)
EVGA GeForce GTX760

I want to do a fresh install of Mavericks, what's the best way to go about it?

P.S - I also have a Optiplex 745 that I picked up from work, gonna work on that after this machine, that'll be a OSX only setup.

I really want an Optiplex 745 for some reason... It does have GMA 950 right?

anyway, make a myhack install usb: myhack.sojugarden.com/guide/

Hmm, I think it varies, mine should have 3000 but I'll have to verify that.

Thanks for the MyHack guide, but based on the guide, should I start from ML or start from Mavericks?

Finally got around to trying the install again..

- Used the myHack guide to make the USB installer with a Mountain Lion VM (OS X 10.8)
- Booted with PciRoot=1 (because of the install giving me a blank screen)
- Got it to boot but once I select the language, I get "OS X cannot be installed" with a log screen.
- Tried again with -v and still got the log screen.

I've attached the log files here. One is just the error log with -v and the other is the full error log from start to where I get the error.

Thanks for the help!

-v error only log.rtf

-v full log.rtf

IT WORKS! FYI, I'm dual-booting with 8.1 and OS X, on two different HDDs
It recognizes my CPU GPU and motherboard, shows up as a MacPro 3,1

There isn't any sound, nor LAN.
Plus, it doesn't recognize my terabyte.

Should I use the files from here? http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/291886-gigabyte-ga-z87m-d3h-i7-4770k/

How would I go about installing these?

EDIT: I did some googling and found kext utility for network and used ##### for audio. Mac is fully functioning!

I upgraded to an SSD and did a fresh install of mavericks 10.9 with myHack.

- I have to use "PciRoot=1" for the OS to show up on my displays
- Tried using  (https://github.com/toleda/audio_ALC892) for audio but no luck on that.
- Will I need additional tweaking to support my USB 3.0?
