Sound - try this: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=18642

If that doesn't work, you are probably out of luck.

Graphics - what is your graphics card?

Boot Camp - will not work on a Hackintosh

Bootloader - you can use the XP bootloader, but it might be easier to use the OSX bootloader.

For XP bootloader, you set the Windows partition active. Use a Windows/Linux disk/partition utility or use Fdisk built into OSX: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=22844

Then boot Windows. Insert the OSX install DVD. Find the chain0 file on the DVD and copy it to your C:\ drive. Then edit the boot.ini file and add this line to the end: c:\chain0="Mac OS X"

Here is an example of a boot.ini file: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=159052

For OSX bootloader, make the OSX partition active. Use a Windows/Linux disk/partition utility or use Fdisk built into OSX: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=22844

Then boot into OSX and set the timeout parameter in boot.plist to reveal the Darwin bootloader: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=188186

Mouse tearing is a problem you will have to live with. You might use Mousepose with a blank image to help with that. Do a search on this board for Mousepose.

If you need a different resolution, first try using it at boot by hitting the F8 key and entering "Graphics Mode" = "1280x1024" (or whatever resolution you choose)

If that works, you can add that to your boot.plist file so you don't have to type it in at each boot. Just add the following to the boot.plist file:

<key>Graphics Mode</key>

<string>1280x1024</string>

If you wish to pursue some drivers to give you a wider choice of resolutions, you can try one of the following:

Callisto - http://omni.starchaser.org/omni

XRadeonFB - Be sure to read all of the conditions for using this first. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=29450

or do you put in all the places

I'm not sure where all these places are that you are talking about.

There are two sets of vendor id's and device id's. The Appendix in the guide tells you how to find and prepare both sets.

The first set goes in this file: /System/Library/Extensions/AppleAzaliaAudio.kext/Contents/Info.plist

in this block of text:

<key>IOHDAudioCodecVendorID</key>

<string>0x10ec0882</string>

10ec is the vendor id. 0882 is the device id. Replace those with your values.

The second set goes in this file: /System/Library/Extensions/AppleAzaliaAudio.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleAzaliaController.kext/Contents/Info.plist

in this block of text:

<key>IOPCIPrimaryMatch</key>

<string>0x27d88086</string>

27d8 is the device id. 8086 is the vendor id. Replace those with your values.

Be sure to read the Appendix carefully on how to arrange the vendor id and device id because the second set is backwards from the first set

In the first set: 0x + vendor id + device id

In the 2nd set: 0x + device id + vendor id

ALC665 should be a Realtek, but vendor 1039 is SiS and device 7012. There is a different guide for SiS 7012

For the bootloader, did you copy the Chain0 file from the OSX DVD?

What frequently happens is you select OSX in the Windows bootloader and it goes to OSX. The OSX bootloader got set to default to Windows, so it returns to Windows.

As I said, it would be easier to use the OSX bootloader. If you choose to do that, remove the Chain0 line from boot.ini and then follow the steps I gave your for the OSX bootloader.

Delete the chain0 line in boot.ini so it doesn't try to go to OSX. You can leave the chain0 file in the C:\ directory - it just won't be used.

Follow the steps I gave you for the OSX bootloader. It will get you into OSX.

alright thats works, is there any way you can make it say Windows Xp beacuse it just says something like (hd1,01) whereas the mac one says (hd1,02) Mac OSX

Im going to try the new sound guides now

Update

It tried the second one using the kext provived, got no errors in terminal rebooted went in to sound and still cant move the sliders

also do you need to boot in a special mode to see if there is an error

is there any way you can make it say Windows Xp

That's always been a tough one to fix.

If the Windows XP partition shows up on your OSX Desktop, you can try to change it's name. Click on the icon and then hit the Enter button. The name text should highlight. If it does, change it to what you want it to say. If the Windows XP partition is formatted as NTFS, then this might not work. OSX can read NTFS partitions but cannot write to them.

Also, go into Windows and assign a name to your Windows partition.

Perhaps one of these will be picked up by the OSX bootloader.
