systimax
Hello, Got a Dell Optiplex gx280 (almost dev machine) When i go into energy saver and tell my monitor to go to sleep after 15 minutes.. the screen goes black.. however my monitor light is still green. When the computer goes to sleep the monitor light turns orange and power is cut off. Is there a way to get teh monitor to really sleep without the computer sleeping. Or is this just the MAC/OSX way of saying the monitor is in sleep mode by just blacking out the screen. I would like to save energy by having it go into sleep mode with the orange. thanks
macgirl
Did you try modifying BIOS setting for the different states?
systimax
I dont have any settings that reflect power down for monitor and time settigns.. so this behavior is not normal? Did you try modifying BIOS setting for the different states?
