OK, I installed OSx 10.4.6 sucessfully, and I did the CHAIN0 things which I amended the boot.ini too.

However, when I come to the OS selection page where I can choose to enter XP or OSx,

the screen becomes black for a second and returns to the selection menu when I choose OSx...

I can get into XP normally but I cannot get into OSx~

what's wrong with what I do now?

How can I get into it?

Please help me!

The (hidden) OSX bootloader is probably set to default to Windows. What happens is you select OSX in Windows, it goes to OSX where the bootloader says to go back to Windows and it does.

Boot the OSX install DVD. Hit F8 when it asks. Select the OSX partition and when you get into OSX, expand the OSX bootloader window: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=188186

That way, when you select OSX in Windows, it will go to OSX and show its bootloader where you can select OSX again and boot OSX.

Or, just use the OSX bootloader. Once you expand the OSX bootloader window, you can go remove the chain0 line from boot.ini in Windows. And then make the OSX partition "active" using a Windows/Linux disk/partition utility or using Fdisk built into OSX: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=22844
