Hi guys,

I'm looking for create one MacPro 2013 replica (only internal hardware...) I have had several experiences with hackintosh but never X79.

I read that from OS X 10.9.2 will be native power managment for LGA2011 - X79.

Let's GO:

1) CPU E5 1620v2 -> OK

2) Motherboard -> I haven't found any motherboard with Thunderbolt2 and Wifi ...advice?

    In my search I selected:

-AsRock X79 Extreme4 or Extreme 4M

-Gigabyte GA-X79-UP4

-MSI X79A-GD65

-Sapphire X79A-GD65

I think Idon't need for super motherboard like (beautiful but expensive) Asus Rampage Extreme IV, you know one motherboard (not expensive) more complete with WiFi Thunderbold and FireWire?

There is already another similar topic?

I update post with more informations..
I would like to find OOB compatible components or almost...

Greetings from Italy.

Hmm...I'll have to see if there are ones available in the US here like that, then you'll have to search to see if they're available in Italy.

But my first piece of advice is if you can't find one with onboard wifi, your best bet is to find one with mini pcie slots, or a pcie x16 to mini pcie bridge for wifi, bluetooh, same with Firewire.

The PCIE Bridge could also serve for a mini pcie SSD, or you could go full pcie SSD. Expensive, but this is how Apple gets their speed in transfer rating.

Depending on what you want to do with the GPU, as far as I know we cannot use dual GPU's yet. I'd go for Nvidia over AMD in osx86 anyway due to better opengl support plus Cuda.

I would just go with the i7-4820k, higher clocks, same cache, same amount of threads and cores, unlocked multi if you want to overclock, Ivy Bridge architecture, and has turbo boost. It's also going to be cheaper, way cheaper! If you want to go higher than that, go for a 6 core 12 threaded i7.

I agree... I'm looking for availability of components and they can be found on internet.

I found some motherboard with integrated wifi but they are little bit expensive i think is better external pci, firewire 400 is inside many board.

For HD I think my Fusion Drive is working well same for graphics (GTX650Ti).
