It has to be a full size one as mine doesnt support half size mini pcie. Would the Atheros AR5BXB92 or Atheros AR5BXB112 work? Which of the two are better? I saw somewhere that it was compatible but I need some kind of confirmation before I try to buy them and they don't work. Laberlohe Posted January 19, 2014 Share Posted January 19, 2014 Afaik are all AR5BXB72-based airport adapter capable of 300Mbps - but they can only handle the 2,4-GHz-band. Unless you don't have a bios with whitelisted wireless cards (like many ThinkPads) you can use any genuie Airport Extreme card . Would it still work with only two wires?
