I want to where i could get softwares like windows for mac os x. like ms office for mac, nero for mac, etc. One more is Mac OS a UNIX version if so is it possible for me to work on like unix on mac or is necessary for me to seperately install one more os likely Red hat linux. You can't get that software here, but you can search in torrent trackers an so on... Rammjet Posted October 6, 2006 Share Posted October 6, 2006 is Mac OS a UNIX version MacOSX is an OS built on top of Unix. Go to the Utilities folder and open Terminal and start typing away. If you installed the X11 package, then you have the X-Window environment available.
