Hey guys, i've decided to give MacOS another shot with a cleanslate.

I have a DWL-G520 Revision B and I was wondering if anyone could explain in detail how to get the 10.4.5 kext installed?

I'm really flying blind here and any help is greatly appreciated.

Is there somewhere I can download 10.4.5 and pacifist? I'm really not sure what to do. These are new terms to me

You get the 10.4.5 Intel update from the Apple website.

For Pacifist from Charlessoft, use Google to find it like you would to find anything on the net.

Hey guys.

I couldn't get my DWL-G520 to work so I switched it out for a spare FD57000 (Version 5000) I had lying about.

I got the air port signal icon to appear by replacing 80211family and networkingfamily (Or whatever it's called) from 10.4.7 with 10.4.5. Then I deleted Extentions.kextcache and Extentions.mkext and rebooted. However, when I start up it shows the diamond without any signal and everythings greyed out upon right clicking. I then get this error message:

In order to use Airport Setup Assistant your airport card must be enabled and Airport needs to be turned on and set to use DHCP

and hwne I click OK it gives me this error message

There was an error communicating with your airport card

Can anyone help me? Is the problem 10.4.7? I can feel im so very close but I need your help guys :thumbsup_anim:
