rad, I'm also a nooblar to not only the OSX86 project, but OSX in general. couldn't run it on the old Athlon XP so I never bothered. new PC came in not too long ago so I decided to go for it and OSX86 installed without a hitch. installed from the goatsecx 10.4.6, installed JaS' 10.4.7 update, followed the aRt solution to ALC882 sound posted by Rammjet, installed BorisBadenov's ATi fix and was off and running. specs are as follows:

Asus P5W DH Deluxe

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600

2x1gb OCZ Gold XTC DDR2-800

320gb Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 SATA2 drive

ATI Radeon X1900XTX

LG GSA-H10L DVD writer

Big thanks go out to all you folks who've made this possible. It finally gives us PC users a glimpse into a great OS. Maybe one day Apple will realize they're sitting on a goldmine of people who'd like a new OS but simply can't afford a new Mac or are stuck in their old ways using PCs. until then, thanks for providing us with the means to enjoy OSX now, instead of umpteen years down the road.
