Slow USB transfer speed

Hi,
I've installed Mavericks on my computer. All it's working fine but when I have to transfer any file to a pendrive or any external hard disc it goes so slow. For example, a 8Gb file takes over 12 minutes, even with the usb 3.0 ports. That used to happen with Mountain Lion too.

My mobo is an Asrock P67 pro3 that has usb 2.0 and 3.0 ports. I have installed patched bios and universal usb 3.0 universal by zenith432. I've been doing some research but i can't found how to fix that.
