I did this way and it works on my dell 6000 (XP windows already installed) no need to format it , no need to worry all those XP softwares, data..... what you need to preceed 1. Generic Installer for Tiger (google it, DVD) 2. partition tools such as Partition magic 3. UBCD (google it, it is a freee bootcd including ranish partition, make a CD from .iso) make sure it works!!! 4. goto http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.ph...le_And_Accurate and READ 5. make a new primary partition . no need to the "dd" part. (if you did it, it is still ok) (Dell has three partitions already, and left only one "primary" partition for Tiger) make the partition be at least 6.6G, preferbally 8G to 10G 6. get the famous "chain0" from wiki.osx86project.org, and put in C:\ 6. modifiy the C:\boot.ini. ... now the hard part! 7. modify the BIOS to make it boot from DVD then put the DVD in. and boot in verbose with "-v" 8. once you are in the installer, choose "Utilities"->Disk Uilities. then ERASE and FORMAT the NEW partition to HFS+ and give it a Name such as "tiger-x86" (make sure that is the one you just created, not other partitions!!!!!) 9 then continue. "option ERASE and install a new OS"..select whatever(dont forget the last one) you want to install..you can deselect Printer drivers or some of the development tools 10. wait and wait, after it is done, it will restart automatically and then new Registration form pops up just "Alt+Q" to quit it, make a new user name for the machine. you are done. 11 eject the DVD. and restart, you will get "PBR 3 HFS+ errs!!!!!" 12 dont worry, just put the UBCD in, and boot 13,small windows shows and choose the "F3" for filesystem-->then Ranish partition 14 move the curser up and down to your NTFS (windows XP) partition. click"B" you will see it be set as ACTIVE with a "*" in front of it.
