ok so i decided to i wanted to dual boot osx86 and after a few problems (my main drive is a sata2 250gig so osx wouldn't pick it up, so I had to pull out my old 40gig ide drive) I finally was able to run OSX, now osx doesn't even see my built in sound card or ethernet (so mobo problems basically) I'll list out my specs

AMD Opteron 144 @2.6ghz

ASrock s939 dual sata2 motherboard

seagate 250gig sata2 hard drive+ Maxtor diamond max8 40gig IDE hard drive

LG dvd burner

XFX 7600gt xxx

seasonic s12

thats about it. Is there some file I have to configure or some sort of driverish thing i need to download? sorry I'm an OSX noob, had a bit of experience with Linux so that might help abit any help is greatly appreciated, I wanna get my OSX fully up and running. (Also is there any way to get OSX to see my sata2? I wanna have a shared music and videos place were both windows and osx can save files to and I already have a partition and everything)

In order for someone to help, you need to provide the brand and model of your ethernet and sound:

ethernet - like Realtek 8189 or Broadcom 5308

sound - like Realtek 882 or Sigmatel 9200 or Soundmax 1981

Read your manual or review the website for your motherboard for the info.

forcedeth.kext or the forcedeth-nockd.kext may work for your LAN I use Realtek ALC8201CL extenal PHY and that works with forcedeth-nockd.kext you just need to add your VEN_ID and DEV_ID to the Info.plist in the .kexts Contents folder
