GBK.Xscape Posted October 4, 2006 Share Posted October 4, 2006 i have a Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.53GHZ i put in the dvd and start it back up and whenever i do that it loads and gets stuck at the gray screen with the little spinny circle. does any one know if my computer is incompatible or maybe i did something wrong? GBK.Xscape Posted October 4, 2006 Author Share Posted October 4, 2006 it says this disk1s3: I/0 error load of /sbin/launched, errno5 trying/sbin/mach_init sam multimedia: Read or Write failed, ASC=0x11,ASCQ=0x00 i am using a DVD+RW. in all the tuts it says not to use one but i have installed osx86 on two other computers with a DVD+RW. maybe this one it doesnt work on? Rammjet Posted October 4, 2006 Share Posted October 4, 2006 SAM Multimedia means that the system is having trouble reading the DVD. You need to reburn the DVD at the slowest speed possible. If available, use a different brand or different type (dvd-r, dvd+r, dvd-rw, dvd+rw) of media. If that fails, then see if you can update the firmware of your optical drive.
