fruitylooper
i think ive somehow changed the drive letter of my windows installation from C:\ to E:\. would this stop windows from booting propery? is there a way to change it back? also, i think the partion may not be active. i ran some sort of disk utility of the windows cd and seem to remember it not being active. how can i activate it? please, i really dont want to lose all my windows files! anitanium
you can try to use fdisk to change the windows partition to active and see if you can boot back into it but if you changed drive letters, then you may need to reinstall (your files will be saved though) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/29261-cant-boot-windows/#findComment-201177 Share on other sites
PlayingKarrde
Its because your Windows partition is hidden now. Use a bootloader that has Partition Magic on it and make the windows part unhidden.
