PC_GUY Posted October 2, 2006 Share Posted October 2, 2006 Hi, Noticed this problem when installing OSX10.4.7, my CPU fan would slow down to a very low speed. This also happened when starting and running osx. I touched the heatsink and it was really hot to the touch like never before. Eventually tricked the mobo and ran the fan of the PSU, with speed reporting plug in the mobo CPU fan plug. FINALLY, why does this happen and is there a way to disable this. I was lucky to fix it soon or my CPU was going to burn out. I have a trigem intel845gl chipset mobo that other than this works fine. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
