Aikanar Posted October 1, 2006 Share Posted October 1, 2006 Hello, good people of InsanelyMac. I am new to your Forum and hope my question is not too elementary or intrusive. I have just installed OS X 10.4.7 (from a DVD burned from the JaS torrent) on its own partition and it runs perfectly *except* that it won't recognize my Belkin F5D7000 wireless card at all. I am in a location in which wired Ethernet is not practicable, so I must connect wirelessly. I have read in other threads on your Forum that the F5D7000 is supposed to be compatible with OS X; however, this is a new OS to me and I don't know if there is the equivalent of a device manager in OS X, or how to access it if there is. I have tried creating a new connection using the Network control panel, but it tells me that wired Ethernet is not connected (which is true) and gives me only one choice: a dial-up connection. All the other options are greyed out. Is there any way to get OS X to 'see' my F5D7000? Thanks, ~* Aikanar *~ P.S. My system is an eMachines T3828 with an 80 gig drive, a 2.8GHz CPU and 768MB of RAM. But it shows it as compatible under 10.4.6.
