snipermr2
Can anyone help me with my sound? I just installed mac jas 10.4.7 on to my laptop and so far my sound and wireless network isnt working. I know that my wireless is not going to work until someone figures out how to fix the intel wireless card. I have the Realtek HD sound card in my toshiba. Its the ALC861, I have tried modifying the Appleazilla file in the extensions folder but I have had no luck. I get the sound symbol on the top but I can't adjust the volume bar. I have looked at my device hardware and I have VEN. 10EC Dev. 0861 from the sound realtek device VEN. 27D8 Dev. 8086 from the microsoft UAA bus drivers If someone could help me that would be great. There is also another VEN. 11C1 Dev. 3026 found in the Microsoft UAA Bus Drivers in the Bus Relations Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/29025-toshiba-m105-s3074-sound-not-working-alc861/ Share on other sites
Rammjet
VEN. 10EC Dev. 0861 from the sound realtek device VEN. 27D8 Dev. 8086 from the microsoft UAA bus drivers Actually, that last one is backwards. It should say: VEN. 8086 Dev. 27D8 from the microsoft UAA bus drivers Try following this guide using 0x10ec0861 for the first string and 0x27d88086 for the second string: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=18642 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/29025-toshiba-m105-s3074-sound-not-working-alc861/#findComment-199212 Share on other sites

I still get the volume icon but the slider wont move. I am thinking I might end up getting a usb sound card if I cant solve this problem. What we need is someone that really understands OSX and audio.
