Hi

I installed Mountain Lion 10.8.2 in a Asrock Z68 Extreme4 using iATKOS ML2 and i did update.

All work fine, but if i do OC the performance are the same (i tested with Geekbench) and the clock displayed on HWMonitor is always the same: 3400Mhz (I have 2600k).

Also HWMonitor display that the Memory voltage is 1,792-1.824V that is too high for Sandy Bridge platform.

In the bios i have set default settings (1.500 for the ram)

Why there are differences between bios settings and the settings displayed on mac?

Which should I trust?

Update:

I fixed the problem with OC, i had to disable SpeedStep in the bios.

But the memory voltage displayed in HWMonitor still 1,792-1,824V.

Maybe HWMonitor display the voltage of the PLL instead of the memory voltage?

Trust the BIOS. It is a cosmetic issue. Chameleon (or other bootloader you might use) together with plugins is responsible for providing the date for the OS to display. The data provided to OS, is not always correct (misread by the above pieces of software), hence the incorrect information you are getting.

The other thing to note is whenever speedstep/CPU frequency thortling is working properly.
