It works again!

I finally (after a little hiatus to calm down a bit) figured out why my video was no longer working.....

NVCAP, and the incorrect entry of it in the NVinject Info.plist file. I couldn't figure out how to add that entry with the property list editor. (You NEED to use this to add the NVCAP entry). What I was doing was adding a new row, and entering the data that way.... Reboot.... black screen (no signal).....

Now I know the right way to do it, here goes. Copy the Info.plist file to your desktop, edit it with Property List Editor and go down to the NVCAP line. RIGHT CLICK and select "Show Raw Keys/Values", you'll see a line like:

<04000000 00000300 04000000 00000007 00000000>

This line you can edit directly with the info garnered from NVCAP Maker. Here's the line for my BFG 7300 GT/512 PCIe Card (After it was reflashed, see my earlier blog post).

04000000 00000300 04000000 00000007 00000000

Save that, and copy it back to /System/Library/Extensions/NVinject.kext/Content. Do the usual hocus pocus to rebuild the cache etc.. And BINGO! QE/CI again.

Life is once again good in Musketball Land!
