ok so this is how the story started and where it is now "frozen"

i was behind in my work for computer's and my teacher Mr.Hutzler said that i could do a project to get my marks up. So i decided to run os x and windows on a p.c. so we searched the web for info and we came to the osx86 project. so after some fiddling we got this dell p4 to work with windows and os x.

it had tiger running on darwin. after the semester was over i decided when leopard came out that i would somehow graph leopard to darwin. but that was not all i wanted to do. i wanted to run leopard on dual and quad core pc. so my quest was set, i was put on earth to run leopard on a pc!!

my friends called it impossible i called it a challenge. the first month was just getting leopard to run on darwin and to get an install dvd somewhat ready. i think it was day 67 i finally put the blank dvd into my superdrive and burned it using roxio. but no i had to test the dvd. so i pulled out the same dell i used for tiger and popped in the dvd. Nothing happened. it did not recognize the dvd. so i sat there thinking what the hell!! it worked as a virtual disc. but then i remembered that i stupidly made the whole disc a mac os extended partition and put darwin on the mac side!!! so put in dvd #2 and it took about 15min to burn. put it in the dell and whala!! there was that beautiful apple. i was on cloud nine! then the worst thing that you can imagine. it kernel panicked on startup. {censored}!!! :dev: so took a break for a week then went back to it. turned out the reason why it panicked was because the video driver i installed was for an ati video card and the one in the computer was an intel. so reached over to my stack of video cards and grabbed a ait radion 128mb video card. tuned it on and leopard started to load. i sat there praying and then the desktop appeared. i was like YES!!!! but i spoke too soon. the desktop froze constantly and the cpu was overheating. and that is where i am today so any ideas are well appreciated. :dev:

thanks

ps: i will try to get an update on the progress every 2 weeks or so

use the iATKOS v2 installer DVD for leopard...it has the kext removal codes built in for the overheating issues.
