please help, not booting, circle with line through

Hi, sorry to bug you guys, this is 1st time, trying to install on an msi barebones, installed, but when booting a circle with line through (like ghostbusters|) comes up over the grey apple.

someone said about making partition bootable but when i boot off of install disk it only allows to select the disk, any idea?

During the installation, right before clicking the Install button, you must first click the Customize button and select packages for your computer. Click the little arrow in front of the patches category to reveal the individual packages. Choose Intel or AMD packages, not both. Choose SSE2 or SSE3, not both, depending upon the capability of your processor. Choose the Combo Update to receive the latest version of OSX. Choose other packages only if your computer needs them.

After you straighten out your installation, if you need to set your partition active (bootable), you can use any Windows or Linux disk/partition utility or use the Fdisk built in to OSX: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=22844
