Philter85 Posted September 23, 2005 Share Posted September 23, 2005 Hi, I've searched the forums and tried almost every solution to no avail.here is my scenario. Im trying to install OSX from Marklar tiger image. Using XPLoDEs sse3 native guide. I have installed it succesfuly on another machine previously but this setup doesnt like to take. I can make it through the entire setup but when i try to boot i get the apple start up screen, but instead of the spinning circly dots i get a white square with a crossed out circle and it freezes. here is my setup. Motherboard: ASROCK p4dual w/o onboard video. CPU: p4 478 3.0ghz prescott (sse3 supported) RAM: 1gb ddr400 (2 512mb pc3200) H.D.D: 120mb Maxtor SATA Video Card: Ati X800. Sound card: Sound Blaster Audigy Linksys Gigabit ethernet (onboard LAN no big deal if this isnt supported) If i forgot anything just let me know. Just needing some input. fobstar Posted September 23, 2005 Share Posted September 23, 2005 that error basically means that your computer is "waiting for root device" meaning there is something going on with the hardrive....
