johnnytluxury
Seems like now, whenever I try to install something (most notably the MacVidea driver installer), I lock up and get the spinning beachball. The Installer app says its not responding. Ive done this with so far three fresh clean installs of 10.4.7 and this happens after I reboot, after the registration boot. Coincidentally, I also lose my SATA during this process, Im wondering if the two might be related? Anyone else have this issue? Also, on a quicky note, if were to get my SATA device ID, could I modify the appleviaata.kext to make it mroe stable for my board? Or can anyone send me the kext so i could check it out? Rammjet
nForce SATA is always a problem. Try these things: 1) Go to the Energy preference in System Preferences and make sure hard drives do not spin down. 2) Go to the Utilities folder and find Installer. Get Info on it. Click the "use Rosetta" checkbox. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/28899-installers-locking-up/#findComment-198210 Share on other sites
