Godzillar Posted September 29, 2006 Share Posted September 29, 2006 Acer 5594WXMi is an upgraded version of 556x series with better CPU/Graphic/RAM/HDD bought it a week ago in Taiwan Mac OS X ISO Image:Mac-OS-X-10.4.7-AMD.Intel-(JaS)-ISO-Repack Installation: Intel Update & SSE3 CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo T5600 (1.83GHz, 667 Mhz FSB, 2MB L2 cache) 14.1" WXGA LCD (native 1280x800) 120GB SATA HDD Optical Drive:working, burning CDs without problem USB: Working ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 128 RAM: worked on internal & external display but no resolusion adjustment at first (1024x768x32) worked on external display only after X1600 installer patch AND manual patch (run the installer first, reboot in single user mode, and modified vendor&device ID to my specific ID) (have to add "Graphics Mode"="1024x768x32" at start up or there will be gray screen only) (the display will adjust its resolution to 1680x1050 automatically once the desktop screen is loaded) CI/QZ/QZ2D/Rotation support hasn't find a way to work on my internal display (at 1280x800) Realtek ALC883 @ Intel 82801 GBM ICH7-M: worked after deleteing AppleHDA.kext and editing AppleAzaliaAudio.kext http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=18642 Broadcom NetLink Gigabit Ethernet (BCM57xx series) applied this patch http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=129533 Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection: not working Bluetooth/Card Reader/PC card: not tested, probably not working S-video out: no idea FireWire: should work but not tested After almost 24+ hrs of work now looking forward to build OSX86 desktop Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
