I have 3 SATA drives

with 10.4.7 & XP & Vista installed everything works fine

in BIOS and under ‘START > Run…’‘diskpart’ XP is set as default

everytime I boot it asks me if I want to boot with VISTA or XP

if I don't make a choice the system starts in to VISTA

how can I set default boot to XP

If you're using the default windows bootloader, edit your boot.ini file.

Two ways to do that:

1) Start -> Run -> msconfig

Go to the boot.ini tab and make the appropriate edits.

2) Easier way, go to Control Panel -> System -> Advanced Tab -> Startup and Recovery section -> Click Settings

Now uncheck the "Time to display list of operating systems:" checkbox, and make sure to select windows XP in the drop down list as the default OS.

Good luck,

Umpa

unfortunately non of these tricks worked

under 1) Start -> Run -> msconfig

I could not do any changes

under 2) changes can be done - but they don't work
