thesuffering
I have made successful hackintoshes before, but I havent done it in a while so I thought Id ask before trying and failing. Just got the following notebook: Gateway NE56R41u Intel B960 Intel HD Graphics 4GB DDR3 Realtek High Definition Audio Intel 7 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller Broadcom Netlink Gigabit Ethernet Qualcomm Atheros AR5B125 Wireless B/G/N I do have a legit OSX 10.6 DVD from my old Macbook Pro (i spilled on it and it died a quick death) if that helps anything. Id prefer Mountain Lion, but Lion, Snow Leopard or Leopard would suffice if necessary. I have never done a vanilla install, always relying on the old premade dvd installation discs. Will this notebook work? im thinking it should. Anyone want to help with what is involved in getting OSX running on my notebook?
iFIRE
the DVD from your old MacBoook you not can install in a PC, this only work in a original Mac, buy from Apple Store Mountain Lion and make a vanilla install with method USBInstaller, and the Graphics what work with QE/CI in MAC OS X is HD3000/4000, you can start from here.
