meatface
I aquired an osx86 install dvd by viper. I popped it in my laptop and the installer gui came up. Unfortunately it could not find root device. So I stuck into one of my pc's and wouldn't you know it, I went through the entire install process and it worked great. So then I got the bright idea to take the drive out of that pc and put it into a usb drive enclosure. I then plugged it into the usb port on my wife's computer and booted to usb. It booted up into osx flawlessly. It was a little confused about the internet connection but otherwise it was fine. So this got me to thinking can I install it to a usb drive. So I took a laptop hard drive and put it into a usb enclosure, then plugged it into the pc that I had success installing from. I booted to the install dvd and am currently installing osx on the usb drive. When it is done I will pop it in my laptop and see what happens.
