Bob Jones
The hard drive on my nephews 2008 macbook died so I replaced it. Unfortunately he lost his osx disk. In a pinch I used a disk I used for my hacintosh. Leo 10.5.8. After several attempts I finally got it installed. Everything works except it will not wake from sleep. Tried fixing permissions. Tried changing sleep mode in terminal to 3, 7, 25. Tried turning off dim screen before sleep. Tried using several hiberate aps. Created a new user. Nothing seems to fix the problem. Will not turn on after it goes to sleep. Must do an smc reset then works fine. Do you have any suggestions. I checked the apple forums but their solutions are always to take it to the genius bar. Alessandro17
Generally speaking, installing a hackintosh disc on a real Mac is a mistake. Try to buy Snow Leopard: http://store.apple.c...06-snow-leopard Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/285522-wake-up-problem-on-2008-macbook/#findComment-1878974 Share on other sites
