SRSR333
Hey guys. I have a Samsung RF411-S03SG, which (unfortunately) has Nvidia Optimus, with an Nvidia GT 525M and a HD 3000. I can run OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.2 at full acceleration, using the Intel HD 3000. I also have Windows installed on my hard drive. I realise that whenever I boot to OS X after shutting down in Windows(where the Nvidia chip is recognised, loaded and used), the Nvidia chip shows up in System Profiler: Does this mean its possible for me to enable the Nvidia GPU if its recognised by OS X? And as a side note, I can only boot to desktop if NVDAResman.kext has been deleted, renamed or moved from /System/Library/Extensions. If not, I either end up with a kernel panic, which backtraces to this kext, or a greyish-white screen, or, the boot process ends in verbose, just before the desktop loads. One of these three occurs, in no particular order, as long as NVDAResman.kext is in /S/L/E. PLEASE HELP WITH THIS PROBLEM. I want the Nvidia GPU to be loaded and used by OS X.
