KingpinX Posted November 9, 2012 Share Posted November 9, 2012 Running into a problem with Snow Leopard 10.6.1-10.6.2 Intel AMD made by Hazard. Got this off the wiki because its the same laptop. http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/HCL_10.6.2/Portables#HP_G62_340us HP G62 340us Specs: AMD Athlon II 3 GB RAM ATI RADEON 4250 Realtek 8168 Ehternet Atheros 9285 WIFI ( rare card by the way) Realtek HD Audio The problem is with this laptop there is no option in the bois to change from sata too ahci. Have tried updating the bois and downgrading it all the way down to the first available back to the newest. Only thing I have not tried to do is reset the cmos. Ok for the second problem. When I try to boot from dvd it start to load then goes to a black screen but can hear the dvd drive going trying to do something. When you go too the options I have tried using these too get the installer too show up; cpus=1 maxmem=2048 busratio=20 - v even tried -force64 -x and arch=i386 PCIRootUID=0 an GraphicsEnabler=No. Cant get it to boot just black screen, have let it set there for 30mins twice now just to see if it was still loading up.
