Hi,

i want to install the OSX86 on my VMWare VM but I get this error:

Ehternet MAC Adress: 00:00:00:00:00:00

IP Adress: 0.0.0.0

Waiting for remote debugger connection.

kdp_pool: no debugger device

I tried all platform options like:

platform=ACPI

platform=x86pc

platform=ADP2,1

I tried the other parameters for Failsafe, Single user Mode and all else but the error don´t go away.

I use the Marklar-Tiger.iso file with Generic_OSx86_Install_DVD_Patcher_test3 on my VMWare. My System Configuration is:

Sony Vaio A317M

Pentium Mobile 740 - 1,73 GHz

ATI MOBILITY X600 PCI-E 128Mb

VMWare Hostsystem: Windows XP SP2

I tried to boot up the dvd native an i get the same error. I think that the both network cards (VMWare AMD PCNet and my Intel Pro Wireless(for native install) is not supported from darwin/osx.

I think it could be usefull to put the Maxxuss AMD PCNet Driver onto the Install DVD that it supports this Network Card but I dont know if it works because it could be that this driver must be in the Kernel. If I can put the kext onto the dvd please tell me where I must put it or how I can install it.

Thanks a lot...

And greets from germany...

Is nothing to do with your network cards, take a pic of the screen when it stalls.

I think the problem is the ATI extensions, get rid of them.

Also dont use Windows XP as VMWare hostsystem, better use Linux or BSD.

Thanks for the fast reply...

Here is my Screenshot...

I don´t thinks thats a Problem from the ATI Graphics Card. By using the VMWare VM there is a other Graphics Card (VM Virtual Device).

For Note: The error happen by booting from the patched Marklar-Tiger ISO in VMWare.

Certainly, did you mount the image directly in VMWare or didi you use a virtual drive mounter like Nero Image Drive or DaemonTools?

I have mounted the iso image directly in VMWare.... (no deamon tools or something installed)

If it is usefull: My VMWare Version is 5.0.0 build 13124...

Well, VMWare have some problems with the patched Images, so try to use any Image Mounter and asign the CD/DVD drive of VMWare directly to the letter that the Image Mounter sets.

Hmmm, that sounds good but as I tested that the same error occured.

Have you got another idea?
