DVD Driving not showing CDs

I hope someone can help me, my DVD drive is not showing cds when I put them in the drive, it comes up with an error and asks me if I want to ignor or eject the disk please help

"DVD" drives have separate lasers internally for reading CDs & DVDs, so the symptom you are seeing is typically caused by a problem in the CD circuitry. HOWEVER, I haven't seen that particular problem in a while...modern DVD-ROMs & DVD writers are much more reliable than those of a few years ago. Soooo...there is a possibility that you are seeing some sort of driver issue. Would help if you post your exact setup info...what OS, exactly what drive, etc..
