brw02005 Posted September 21, 2006 Share Posted September 21, 2006 Ok here's the deal I installed osx 10.4.6 direct from dvd with combo update and SSE2 patch. Everything worked great except samba. I read in a forum that if you install a program called cocktail and tell it to optimize your connection it would fix that and it did. Now I cannot share or connect to a windows share of an epson CX7800. The basic file sharing works great. The printer works great locally both with gimp and factory drivers. I looked at the file after I installed it and the printer is listed the host as located locally after install which was weird. I was thinking if I could find a way to edit this manually it would fix it. As for why the mac refuses to share the printer with a windows machine you got me. I may just need a samba patch but when I search for it on demonoid I get nothing. If it was in the forum I'm sol cause that's down. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
