hey all i am still stuck with the problem "still waiting for root device" in darwin for installation....now i did some searching on all the forums and people seem to have solutions for this (read below)

 

"there was a problem with "wateing for root device" but that was because

i had my cd-rw as slave on the 2nd ide channel.

 

and was preventing osx86 from installing.

osx86 dosnt like the cd-rw. the read/write light just keeps flashing when its connected

after install.

 

other than that great work bender and br0adband. "

 

BUT this is not the same case for laptops i cant switch around drives and stuff....so can anyone explain how i can fix this problem on a laptop?? please???? btw...-x doesnt work either
