theredev
Hey New to all this but i just trying to single boot Snow Leopard on Dell Latitude e6400. I am trying to install with retail Snow Leopard Dvd. My boot disk with SL retail disc gives me a kernel panic panic (cpu 0 caller 0x563ebd): "Unable to find driver for this platform: \ "ACPI\~.\n~@/SourceCache/xnu/xnu-1504.15.2/iokit/Kernel /IOPlatformExpert.cpp:1387. I have my System Configuration > Sata Operation set to AHCI mode. I used parted magic to format the drive to hfs+. 2 gb of ram with 250 gb hard drive. I am trying to get OS X on this computer for first time. Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/281598-kernel-faults/ Share on other sites
Kalearne
I'm still a complete novice at a lot of this so bear that in mind. My old SL setup used the darwin_snow.iso (google it, plenty of sources) Was the only way I could get mine to install.
