herpaderpa
I had trasnfered NullCPUPowerManagement.kext to my desktop. Used my install disc to move it back to S/L/E. Boots up fine now. I won't be removing that again.
herpaderpa
Don't think my GPU is sitll being utilized. COD4 on max settings gives lag, however on PC it was completely smooth, 60 FPS avg. Should I install CUDA drivers?
Rampage Dev
Quartz Extreme works differently then Direct X and may not optimize your GPU the same. You should install the latest Cuda drivers. Also you will need to change to SimBIOS Mac Pro 5,1Before you restart you must remove the following kext or it will KP: AppleTyMCEDriver.kext Then edit AppleGraphicpowermanagment.kext follow my guide here: http://rampagedev.wordpress.com/2012/07/08/editing-applegraphicspowermanagement-kext-for-nvidia-graphic-cards-2/

Rampage Dev
That would be a good thing... the installer you used must have removed it. Update to SimBIOS Mac Pro 5,1 then do the edit.
herpaderpa
Did the edits and installed CUDA. can we work on getting onboard audio to work? Ran LuxMark, got a score of 344. Worse than before.

Rampage Dev
You need to read read the guide. You used 3 states instead of 4. Only the GTX 570 and 580 have 3 power states. This is why your card is not working properly. Try something like this and keep tweaking it: <key>Threshold_High</key> <array> <integer>0</integer> <integer>45</integer> <integer>75</integer> <integer>100</integer> </array> <key>Threshold_Low</key> <array> <integer>5</integer> <integer>45</integer> <integer>87</integer> <integer>98</integer> </array>
