Elad Nava
Hey all, Just wanted to share 4 days of excruciating pain in getting my outdated 2007 HP PC to work with Mountain Lion flawlessly! First, I used the following guide to install OSX ML: http://www.insanelym...howtopic=280756 All kexts are attached at the bottom of the post. By the way, I'm not using the Intel GMA 950 onboard graphics card (it's not supported anymore), I upgraded to a Gigabyte Nvidia GeForce 9500 GT graphics card which was pretty cheap. (0x064010de) Graphics This literally took me 3 days to finally get dual monitor support and QE/CI. I tried many kext combinations. Finally, I used kexts from DP3 release of ML (NVDANV50HAL.kext and NVDAResman.kext) along with GeForce.kext from stock 10.8 install disc and GraphicsEnabler=Yes. Using this unique combination I was able to achieve dual monitors + max resolution + full QE/CI. Sound Using my previous contribution of ALC888 Drivers from this topic I was able get sound working: http://www.insanelym...howtopic=221850 Internet Using an AppleIntel8255x.kext from 10.7 Lion I was able to instantly get wired ethernet. (Attached) PS/2 Keyboard Believe it or not, I still use a PS2 keyboard, I just got used to it and don't feel like changing it anytime soon. So attached are kexts from iAtkos Lion install disc. Tools Always use Kext Wizard to install kexts Use Chameleon Wizard to manage chameleon settings Important Boot with PCIRoot=1 Boot with ncpi=0x2000 Boot with GraphicsEnabler=Yes Boot with Ethernet Built In (for AppStore) Boot with SMBios.plist of an iMac with Core 2 Duo processor (same as a6120n) Use chameleon themes because they are cool and sexy Good luck! a6120n.zip
