Cpt Klink Posted July 19, 2012 Share Posted July 19, 2012 Hello all I was wondering if anybody out there could help me getting my sound to work properly ensted of useing voodooHDA. I have used this guide to get Lion on my Hackintosh http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=278181. My system Specs are in my sig below if needed. The thing i'm use sure is which kext's to use. I'm not useing a DSDT unless someone can make one for me for my system. And also if possable any other tips i could use to get a mostly stable setup on my system. charliebounce Posted July 19, 2012 Share Posted July 19, 2012 You need to use a DSDT in order to have good quality sound. You can use AIDA64 in windows to create a DSDT. There are tutorials on how to do that on youtube. You will also need to patch the DSDT with the Sound patch for ALC892. charliebounce Posted July 20, 2012 Share Posted July 20, 2012 Hi Cpt Klink, your DSDT(above) does not seem to have the High Definition Audio entry (HDEF) & for this reason, you cannot patch it. Make sure you have high definition audio enabled in the BIOS then try again to extract another DSDT. It may be a issue with all AMD motherboard so maybe a DSDT may not be the solution. Cpt Klink Posted July 20, 2012 Author Share Posted July 20, 2012 Ya i know my BIOS is all setup properly and i can make my sound show up in the system profiler but the sound dosen't work. i have the same problem in Snow Leopard i just don't think i can make my sound work through DSDT and will have to stick with voodooHDA.
