TheRacerMaster
Hey guys, I'm looking for a replacement WiFi card for the HP dv7 4087cl Entertainment Notebook. It ships with an Intel WiFi BGN 1000 card, which is unusable in Mac OS X. I thought of just replacing it with an AirPort Extreme card, but then I found out that the laptop has a BIOS whitelist which only lets certain WiFi cards be installed. So I found the service manual on HPs website to see which WiFi cards I can install. I'd like to know which ones will work properly in Mac OS X. By properly, I mean support for all WiFi types (a, b, g, n) and all encryption types. Native support would be a nice addition. Here are the WiFI cards I can use: Broadcom 4322 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN Module Part #582564-001 Broadcom BCM94313 802.11b/g/n WLAN Module Part # 593836-001 Atheros AR9285 802.11b/g/n WLAN Module Part # 605560-005 Thanks, TheRacerMaster
